We offer professional services in most trades associated with building/construction and renovating all types of properties and homes, landscape gardening, and garden designs, patio, pavings, retaining walls if it is around the home and garden we do it well.

Andrew, the managing director of Craftsmen of Abruzzo, was trained on heritage and historical projects in England such as churches, listed buildings, also historical centre homes, around Abruzzo, Italy. Being a high quality stone mason master builder, he excels in all aspect of structural and general building.
The reason for naming Craftsmen of Abruzzo is due to the high quality of craftsmen we employ. The builders we have in our team are “artigiani”, high quality craftsmen, with attention to detail. The stone works are beautiful; our masons have a full understanding of local skills and materials.

We possess expert local knowledge and undertake all trades from concept to completion. All our work is fully guaranteed and we ensure all necessary permits are granted before undertaking any works. On small works it is necessary to have a DIA, on larger project it is required a permission to build.

Builders that wish to relocate should have a clear understanding of the different types of building products in Italy. The materials are completely different from England such as plaster, render, blocks and bricks, drying times, etc. which can only be gained by been trained by local artigiani and master builders.

Past works and works in progress:

Three years ago we carried out a rebuild on a bathroom for clients* from Manchester. They were very impressed with the works and they forwarded us a hand written reference of endorsement, thanking us for the high quality of the works that Craftsmen of Abruzzo achieved. Also in 2007 we did a large project for clients* from Dubai. It was a whole refurbishment i.e. rewiring, re-tubing, brickworks, stone works, plastering, rendering, roofing, etc.
This build was done in Marche; we also had an endorsement for our excellent workmanship. At Craftsmen of Abruzzo we maintain high standard of building works. Many thanks.

As well in 2007 we did a complete rebuild on 2 apartments in the historical centre of Penne for clients* from Brighton. It consisted of: solid hard wood mahogany parquet flooring, re-plastering, new kitchen, new bathrooms, redecoration, tiling, new double glazed skylight and windows. Our carpenters work was outstanding.

In addition in 2007 we undertook a large landscaping project with gate automation, fencing, earth moving, replanting, in the area of Casale near Penne. The clients* were from Birmingham. We supplied and fitted stunning wrought iron gates, fully automatic. The project finished on time and Craftsmen of Abruzzo had another satisfied client with another endorsement.

In 2008 we completely rebuilt a new roof for clients* from Holland. We arranged for all permissions through our architect and professionals involved in this project. We replaced the old wooden beams as they were rotten. We also replaced the old guttering with new brass gutters. We removed all debris from the site and left clean and tidy. They were very happy clients.

In 2008 we revisited our clients* from Manchester in order to rebuild a crumbling brick wall in the historical centre of Penne. We arranged for all the permissions and scaffolding, always with the architect’s supervising. Work was completed on time for the clients’ vacation and we thank them for coming back to us.

In 2008 we recoated a house in Villa Celiera for clients* from the South of England. We also refurbished their balcony, and also repaired their sewage and septic tank. They were very pleased with the workmanship. Many thanks for trusting Craftsmen of Abruzzo.

During 2008 we commenced works in the main piazza of Penne, for clients* from America and Philippines. This property has wonderful vaulted ceilings and it has spectacular views of the Gran Sasso from the newly renovated enclosed roof terrace. The antique brickwork has been sandblasted to restore its original look. The work is still in progress now in 2009.

Middle of 2008 we started another project with our architect for clients* from Norway. This property has wonderful vaulted ceilings and a stunning new built fireplace. The bathrooms have new travertine tiles, modern touch with seventeen century brickwork. This work is still ongoing in 2009.
